Volunteer for the Tutoring & Daycare Programs at Housing Families!

Housing Families is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for homeless families, and to the greater goal of ending homelessness. We are located in Malden, but service families throughout Malden, Everette, Revere, Medford, and Chelsea. At Housing Families, families are enrolled in a holistic program that includes finding transitional and permanent housing, counseling for both children and adults, and after-school tutoring for the children.

We are currently looking for volunteers for the tutoring and daycare programs. For the tutoring program, responsibilities would include helping kids with their schoolwork. We try to make this as individualized as possible, hence, the majority of the time volunteers would work with one or two students. Daycare responsibilities include watching and playing with kids while parents are in counseling. Volunteers are asked to put in at least one hour per week. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity.
