The Feminist Student Organization, formerly known as the Women's Center, is designed to encourage the empowerment of women on campus. This organization creates an equitable and positive university environment for all students by creating awareness of women's issues through various activities. The Feminist Student Organization is a resource center for women's organizations in the New England area, nationally and globally, books and references materials on women's studies. The Feminist Student Organization is a gathering place where students can find support and discuss concerns. There is one president of the organization, Rebecca Dufendach,. The Feminist Student Organization co-sponsors programs such as "Take Back the Night" and the "Annual Day of Silence" and collaborates with several other student organizations on campus.
